In the early stages of designing Glaass we faced a decision that would go on to impact a major component of our platform – how to best record, organise and manage project data in a way that is accountable, traceable and inherently simple. We found a way, and it’s called cases.
You might be wondering, what on earth is a case? It’s an entire thread of correspondence, information and data about a particular task or problem in one place as a permanent project record.

So, what’s so special about cases and why are they important to projects? Well, quite a lot.
All cases have an identification number; so whether you’re sending a concrete order, raising a design clash or simply issuing drawings your case is easily identifiable making communication simple.
All cases have a status, so there’s never any confusion whether the subject matter is resolved or unresolved. This is critical amongst team environments ensuring no time is wasted through miscommunication.
All cases have a due date to provide the accountability teams need to succeed, so you’ll always know how long you have until your deadline.
Cases can be efficiently organised in folders for easy tracking, tracing and management. You’ll never lose another file, folder or case again in Glaass.
Cases are clever; they can be linked together to cross reference information or customised to suit any type of construction. They have smart reminders when you’re task becomes overdue and integrate into our smart calendar. We then use all the data within cases like dates, statuses, locations, users, groups and more to provide managers a real-time overview of their projects performance.
